Help Details: File Transfer Protocol (FTP) - Serv-U
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is your tool for uploading/downloading your own files to and from the "Files" directory in your website . The "Files" directory is like your "My Documents" on the web.

You will need to use your FTP account to upload special files or file types (such as Adobe Portable Document Files (PDF), certain pictures, powerpoint shows, music, etc) that you wish to display on your website but which cannot be made using Press Articles .

Once files are uploaded to your FTP directory, you can reference them using their file path for links and image placements.  The path you would use fpor FTP files would start with /files.  Then add whatever you need to address the location of the file you uploaded.  Example:  /Files/Yourfile.

For more information and examples of file paths and links see help files below.
Module Links - Click here to see the help file for linking to WAG-MOD files.
File Paths - Click here to see help on File Paths

In your website's Control Center, just below the Control Center icon, you can find the WAG-MOD version  you are using.  If there is no version displayed here then you are using Version 1.0.  and MUST use the procedures outlined HERE for Legacy FTP.

Procedures in this HELP are for Version 2.0 or later and you have a choice between standard FTP procedures or our Serv-U FTP interface.
Open an instance of your internet browser and type in http://65.5.0.18:8021, then press your Enter key.

You will then see a login dialogue box.  Enter the username and password you were given when you established your account.
You will then see the contents of your FTP folder.  The name of the FTP folder is Files.  The FTP folder operates just like your My Documents folder on your computer.  You can create new directories within the Files folder to organize your files, add (upload) files, delete files, rename files, etc.

To upload a file, select the folder you want to add it to and double-click it.  Then click the upload button at the bottom of the page.
Click the Browse button.  This allows you to browse your computer's file directory.
Select the file you want to upload and click the Open button
The file you have selected will be displayed in the File Path window.  Click the Upload button.
The uploaded file will then appear in the FTP window.  If you click on a file or folder in the FTP window, the menu at the bottom of the page changes.  You have the ability to Preview files, Upload, Download, Create Directories, Rename  and Delete.
